Marketing Executive - Portsmouth

HIPPOTM is the trading name for Waste Management Systems Ltd, a national provider of integrated waste management solutions.  We have an opportunity for an experienced Marketing Executive, reporting to the Marketing Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • To execute inbound and outbound marketing campaigns, based on the campaign calendar, ensuring all activity is tracked, measured and optimized.
  • Plan and manage the execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns, to include DM, telemarketing, email, online, social, direct mail and telemarketing, to build awareness, drive conversion and generate direct revenue across the Hippo product portfolio.
  • Support the development of an ongoing test strategy with stakeholders, manage the execution of the test plan and review results.
  • To follow processes to brief work, and manage the execution of marketing activities, tasks and reporting with all internal stakeholders and ensure work is progressing and delivered to agreed timelines and is on budget.
  • To be responsible for the sign off process and proofing of the campaigns with key internal stakeholders up to C-level.
  • Manage the tracking of campaigns, compile reports/dashboards and review the performance of campaigns across all channels. Provide detailed analysis and commentary, make recommendations and implement changes where necessary to ensure objectives are met.
  • Keep up to date with marketing innovations, initiatives and best practice and use these to develop prospect and funnel strategy, customer journeys, customer experience and to ensure efficiency within campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

 1 to 2 years in multi-channel marketing delivering multi-media campaigns within a brand facing business including demonstrating the use of digital marketing and use of social network platforms 

  • Experience of writing both short and long copy for various customer segments and channels
  • A good record of creative achievement and driving creative innovation 
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to deliver robust project plans 
  • Clear measureable success in using marketing to meet a wide variety of business metrics including Conversion, Revenue, NPS etc
  • Analytical and confident reporting impact of campaign activity / building business cases
  • Working understanding of Google Analytics
  • Ensures all activities align to the brand guidelines, brand positioning and regulations
  • Champion the customer in all manner of activities, ensuring the customer is at the heart of all communication activities.
  • Experienced user of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • A team player who can share ideas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a high level of English grammar and proof reading ability

Customer Service Advisor

Spring is here! We are moving into HIPPO’s busiest season and we are in need of an enthusiastic individual to join our Customer Service Team, initially on a 6 month contact with a view to going permanent. You will provide excellent service to all customers as the first point of contact to customers contacting HIPPO to arrange the collection of their HIPPOBAG.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Handle customer enquiries and proactively seek opportunities to upsell to customers.
  • Resolve problems by clarifying issues and providing solutions.
  • Escalating unresolved problems when appropriate.
  • Provide general administrative support.

The role will require you to work away from home (nights out, sleeping in HGV) and cover a variety of sites throughout the UK but mainly covering areas around the Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties.

In this customer-facing role, you will need to be professional and helpful, flexible hours are a must as you will be working 5 days a week, generally Monday to Friday, to an average of 48 hours, you will also need to be available to work Saturdays as required. The position includes physical duties such as manual handling and the use of vehicle ladders. You must possess an HGV Class C license, have a valid DCPC card, and preferably have a Lorry Loading certificate, although not essential as training can be provided to the successful candidate.

Field Merchandisers

Spring is here! We are moving into HIPPO’s busiest season and we are in need of enthusiastic individuals to support our partner stockists such as B&Q, Homebase and Wickes on initially a 3 month contract but with the opportunity of being offered a permanent position.      

A field Merchandiser is needed to cover each of the following locations:

  • Manchester/Liverpool/Leeds
  • Nottingham/Leicestershire
  • Birmingham

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all product lines, stand, and point of sale materials are up-to-date, well presented and sited in a prime location.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships within each DIY store/builder’s merchant.
  • Seeking opportunities to extend selling spaces in key stores.
  • Participate in promotional activity on an ad hoc basis. e.g. Trade Days.
  • Supporting new store set up and installation.
  • Providing insightful feedback from the frontline to colleagues in other internal departments.
  • Working flexibly and being receptive and adaptable to a changing environment

No experience is necessary but applicants must be driven, organised, self-motivated and self-sufficient due to the field based nature of this role. A full driving licence is essential for this role. You will also be required to have an IOS or Android smartphone.

Commerce Executive - Portsmouth Head Office

We have an opportunity for an experienced eCommerce Executive, reporting to the Marketing Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Primary contact for our PPC agency, working with them to drive branded and non-branded traffic to the site and maximise returns
  • Develop online affinity partnerships to drive referral traffic to the site
  • Continuous review using analytic tools to track conversion/sales activity and customer browsing behaviour
  • Working with the Head of Marketing make recommendations for site changes, identify and manage future development
  • Establish a robust and continuous testing programme across the site to ensure continuous improvement of key business and customer metrics
  • Driving customer insight through the business through, for example, the development of a regular scorecard of marketing performance for leadership team
  • Develop appropriate content to meet needs of HIPPO’s customer segments across B2C and B2B markets in line with brand guidelines, whilst optimising for online search

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Purchase Ledger Assistant – 5 month contract - Portsmouth

We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our busy finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing general and comprehensive administrative purchase ledger support to the finance team, helping to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Purchase Ledger Assistant with a background of working in a finance team. They will have experience of dealing with both internal and external customers displaying strong communication skills both verbally and written whilst having the ability to resolve issues through communication in a professional, confident and calm manner. Who will also be able to meet tight deadlines and have exceptional attention to detail.

Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet are essential and experience of using Great Plains or a similar accounting package would be desirable. Environmental experience would be advantageous.

Business Solutions Manager

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Sales, the Business Solutions Manager will be responsible for increasing sales of the Company’s products into regions and markets as directed, whilst developing and maintaining customer relationships to ensure repeat and continued business. In addition, the Business Solutions Manager will be responsible for managing or assisting with trials and rollouts to new sites, clients or business areas and provide toolbox talks to end users.
