Marketing Executive

We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Executive who will be the internal creative marketing resource to both create on/offline marketing collateral and implement website content changes.

Responsibilities will include

  • Working from creative briefs to design, development and deliver creative collateral
  • Implementing content updates to the HIPPO website
  • Develop engaging designs for evolving needs, especially within the digital sphere
  • Web page mockups, email campaigns and social media content
  • Monitor, prepare, manage and police use of HIPPO's image across social media, web, sales and offline marketing collateral
  • Maintenance of corporate stationery and all brand assets including logos
  • Work with external agencies to ensure consistency of imagery and to fulfil image and design requirements
  • Design and run email campaigns to support marketing activity.
  • Maintain reporting on competitor analysis and market positioning.
  • Update and maintain relevant databases.

In addition, the role requires that an excellent service to all customers, internal and external is provided in line with company standards and Brand Guidelines.  Our ideal candidate will come with marketing experience alongside a marketing qualification. Account Manager

Full Time Permanent

Account Manager will manage, maintain and develop existing corporate accounts, maximising the opportunities and minimising the risk of loss. Project managing the development and implementation of new products and services

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring an in-depth understanding is maintained of their financial status including value, billing and contract renewal, produce and maintain Quarterly Strategic reviews
  • Take ownership of and resolve and account issues escalated from the Contact Centre or Finance, with the support of the Customer Services Director, if appropriate
  • Produce and analyse account performance data, taking appropriate action to pro-actively maximise collection volumes and revenue
  • Lead quarterly, annual or other regular reviews or renegotiations on price, service levels, or other terms of business, taking advice where appropriate from the Commercial and Pricing Analyst
  • Generate new business from sites or regions within existing accounts in order to consistently deliver on sales targets/forecasts, as directed. Attend appointments with customers and present on the HIPPOBAG
  • Manage Team’s effort, or provide assistance at a site/regional level in the setup and smooth running of trials and roll-outs
  • Contribute to the sales process through the provision of advice, guidance and delivery of toolbox talks to project staff at site and/or regional level, ensuring end-users are fully briefed as to how to use the bags and HIPPO’s solutions and service effectively
  • Feedback information on the site visits/toolbox talks to the Business Solutions Team to identify the successes and learning points, and proactively seek to identify and resolve and problems, assisting in the smooth running of accounts and securing repeat business
  • Ensure referrals and recommendations from project/site managers/end users to all members of the team are pursued in a professional way to maximise opportunities for sales
  • Ensure reporting produced by the Business Solutions team is consistent, professional and in accordance with the requirements of the business
  • Provide support as required to the commercial development of HIPPO products or services

Retail Sales Manager

As Retail Sales Manager you will drive sales of HIPPOBAGs and Collections holistically across the retail sheds and trade channels. This role also includes the accountability or support of the introduction, launch and management of new products and services.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Executive Directors in determining relevant aspects of the consumer strategy, in line with the business plan. Arising from this, identify appropriate actions and communicate both aims and actions, as appropriate
  • Manage the Company’s key retail accounts, with the major DIY sheds, developing an in-depth understanding of their financial status including individual value, billing and contract renewal. Identify new opportunities, and act to maximise these opportunities.
  • Prepare tender documents and proposals, taking advice on pricing where appropriate from the Commercial and Pricing Analyst.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to the consumer team, ensuring they are clear as to their objectives and giving them regular feedback on their performance. Take ownership for delivering planned sales, collection volumes and revenue/margin targets by setting and monitor realistic and challenging targets for team members
  • Monitor and analyse sales activity and results on an ongoing basis, taking appropriate action to drive and sustain good performance.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing initiatives, and champion these to maximise their impact
  • Ensure service level agreements are adhered to from both sides, and resolve any issues arising. Take ownership for and resolve any issues within allocated accounts, ensuring customer has a positive experience each time they deal with HIPPO.
  • Monitor and analyse merchandiser data from visits to highlight any key trends within or across accounts, and take appropriate action based on these.
  • Analyse feedback from customer surveys or correspondence and determine any appropriate action to improve upon the sales experience for customers.
  • On a daily basis, maintain information on accounts (EPOS data, stock availability at DC and store level) ensuring that full account information is accessible by relevant staff.
  • Prepare reports and analyses weekly, monthly and/or as required.
  • Attend and contribute to events designed to raise the profile of the Company. These could include round table events, speaker opportunities, or industry gatherings. Give presentations, speak on behalf of the Company, contribute to discussions, or participate in other ways as appropriate

Data Analyst

The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering relevant data into the central reporting system and sharing the derived information through daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc management information reports, including customer and stakeholder reports. The role also includes interrogating and analysing this data and other information sources in order to derive performance metrics for the business.

Responsibilities will include:

Sales & Pricing analysis & support

  •  Tracking monthly orders and volume from new business, investigating inconsistencies between projected and actual volumes by way of liaison with the Sales team
  • Working with colleagues to analyse data in order to advise HIPPO’s fit with the customer’s needs, including delivering trend reporting, and customer-friendly MI reports
  • Monitor the performance of commercial accounts, flagging up accounts where the pricing/service is not appropriate.  Establish appropriate price changes when contracts are re-negotiated
  • Gathering support information to assist with collating information required to respond to invitations to tenders and produce tender documents. Assisting with pricing new commercial accounts
  • Collating data to ensure pricing and service levels offered are consistent with developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our entire client portfolio
  • Devising service level agreements and terms of business that work in conjunction with pricing, to ensure that the offering to the customer is commercially viable for HIPPO.

Business Reporting

  • Using the current portfolio of business reporting tools to best effect and identifying new ways of effectively sharing complex data. This will include all aspects of data presentation including data visualisation
  • Lend support to the business (sales, finance, operations) in modelling data (e.g. demographic, geographic, pricing) in order to generate commercial ‘scenarios’ for further review, recommendation, and discussion
  • Assist with the commercial analysis of management information for the Executive team
  • Assist with analysing performance indicators on a daily basis and highlight any issues to relevant business areas
  • Proactively identifying processes for development and improvement
  • Offering analytical support to Finance colleagues in running reconciliation reports on bag orders and direct bag sales.

 Data Management

  • Designing, implementing and supporting data ingestion using the current portfolio of tools
  • Designing, implementing and supporting data aggregation and summarisation processes in order to build data cubes that underpin the business reporting
  • Demonstrating expertise in MS Excel and the ability to mentor others in using the tool effectively
  • Demonstrating competency in the use of SQL and with a good understanding of relational databases including MS SQL Server and MySQL
  • Investigating, identifying and assessing other data management and reporting tools to ensure the reporting capability continues to meet business needs.

Waste Contracts Manager

As the Waste Contracts Manager your responsibility will be to execute the Waste Buying Strategy and to contribute to the evolution of the wider business strategy. Specifically, to identify and negotiate waste disposal agreements with disposal suppliers that is in-line with business commercial objectives and market requirements.  Supporting the company’s ambition to develop innovative products and services for waste logistics.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the Waste Buying Strategy to support the business plan, identifying and engaging all stakeholders in the execution and ongoing development of the strategy
  • Agree commercially acceptable pricing, service levels, terms and contracts
  • Establish a programme to define and track the waste composition
  • Develop the processes for gathering and predicting recyclate commodity price levels and also for acquiring and maintaining market intelligence
  • Supervise and manage the Waste Contracts Buyer and Waste Contracts Co-ordinator
  • Develop objectives and targets for the team, monitor and manage the performance of the team and individuals through direct engagement
  • Identify and measure all relevant UK disposal suppliers to produce supplier grading, developing a supplier engagement programme
  • Prepare commercial proposals
  • Develop and implement a supplier relationship management programme
  • Foster closer relationships between “strategic” suppliers and company Executives
  • Search out new opportunities to extract value from the waste stream or supplier process changes
  • Ensure Hippowaste is regulatory, legally compliant and commercially protected, and introduce processes and systems to support the business in that goal
  • Keep informed and up-to-date with the latest waste legislation and Environmental Agency requirements, and when appropriate disseminate this information within the wider business
  • Reporting against existing, and develop as necessary, key performance indicators (KPIs) for the areas of responsibility
  • Regularly update and report on the waste composition analysis
